Great stuff. I really enjoyed the character development between the MC his ex and their respective fathers. A nice step back from reality/multiverse bending stakes of the previous installment (and the insane power creep such stories tend to involve). Still had some interdimensional/world-ending shenanigans involved, but hopefully the stakes can continue to de-escalate in future installments until things like characters, politics, social pressures, economics, etc can take the forefront in the plot, rather than being largely eclipsed by the things like the time travel, inter dimensional mechanics, mind control or some other higher order hard sci-fi concept/trope of the week.
